Meet the founders

Charles Shannon Co-founder

Charles is one of the UK's leading specialists in research funding assurance and compliance. Over eighteen years he has led audit preparations and assurance visits for UKRI, the European Commission, the US Single Audit, the Wellcome Trust, and other major funders — at the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, and Loughborough University.

He is Co-Chair of the ARMA Audit and Compliance Special Interest Group, a member of NCURA's Education Scholarship Fund Committee, and Director of RGCS Ltd, a specialist research management consultancy. He is a frequent speaker at ARMA, NCURA, INORMS, and CrowdHelix events.

Kyle Robinson Co-founder

Kyle is a software engineer with twelve years of experience building financial and compliance software. He has led engineering on payment gateways and other production financial systems — environments where reconciliation, audit trails, and regulator-defensible workings were non-negotiable. The same engineering disciplines underpin GrantProof.

He currently builds AI agents for enterprise finance teams, and specialises in software that automates data-heavy workflows — freeing professional teams to focus on judgement, not reconciliation.
